Blueberry power muffins
Dear readers,
Most of us know blueberries are one of those ‘super food’ wonders. But do we know why? Well I have to say after reading more into this tasty little fruit, I can quite see why it has earned it’s place in the hall of fame. So, a quick summary of how they work; In our body we have things called free radicals, too many of them and they can start to have a negative impact on our cells; this can be anything from cancer cells to skin cells to brain cells. Too many in the brain and we are opening the door to a world of problems; memory loss, changes in mood, strokes and age related diseases. What can save us? Call in the blueberry. Blueberries are rich in anti-oxidants which help protect us from these free-raidcals. The outcome is a more coherent, efficient, healthy you.
The recipe below is a favourite with us here at VYM. Also see the brain boosting smoothie recipe for a quick way of getting your blueberry fix.
